If you happen to be a long time reader of Bizzvenue, you may remember that we already wrote about BreezoMeter in the past. So why are we featuring this app again? Simple, because they are paying us to do so. Nah. we’re just kidding. That’s not the way things work here at Bizzvenue. BreezoMeter has made its way onto Bizzvenue once again because they have very exciting news that we wanted to share with you.
Before we kick things off, here is a quick recap of what Breezometer is all about:
So what is Breezometer?
Put simply, the company maps air quality in real time and provides street resolution air quality data together with personalized tailor made health solutions for kids, athletes, adults and more through the use of big data. The analytics gathered from thousands of sources, together with unique algorithms, enable the app to then display the level of air quality – at the street level.
So basically you can pull out your smartphone, launch the app and instantly get a real time rating of the air quality in the area you happen to be situated in.
What’s the big news all about?
1. A visit to the white house
BreezoMeter was recently invited to Washington D.C. in order to attend the Global Emerging Entrepreneurs Event at the White House. Yeah, as for your next question, did Obama pitch in with his take? The answer is yes! Yes he did. The event was organised in order to “create innovative solutions to some of the world’s toughest challenges, including poverty, climate change, extremism, as well as access to education and healthcare.” Basically high impact startups. Breezometer is an Israeli startup. The Breezometer team tells us that Israel kicked off the water revolution well over fifty years ago with desalination. Now it’s time to for Breezometer to revolutionize air quality. Obviously BreezoMeter is a passive technology. This app can’t actively improve the air quality around us, but it can make us aware. Thus turning the invisible into the visible.
This event was the real deal, all the “players” were present. The “sharks” of Shark Tank (Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran and Daymond Johns) and the big boss – President Barack Obama.
As mentioned, the effects of air pollution are devastating and constantly changing. BreezoMeter aims to stay on top of the air quality statistics and minimize damage through spreading awareness as vigorously as possible.
The U.S. government’s Spark Global Entrepreneurship Initiative is to generate over a billion dollars in private investment for emerging entrepreneurs around the world by the end of 2017. This recent invitation to the White House fired up the BreezoMeter team and they are dedicated to push on. In their own words:
“As we move on, we floor our foot on the gas pedal towards our fight against air pollution”.

2. iOS app is live!
Originally BreezoMeter was only available on the Android platform. Now though, Apple users get to join the action as the iOS version of the app is live! You can now track real time outdoor air pollution data and take a look at how air pollution is dispersed throughout the city. BreezoMeter will give you real time information on air quality at any location, along with actionable health recommendations. Did you ever look out the window and wonder if it’s a good time to go for a run? BreezoMeter will give you its recommendation. As of today, the service works in Israel and the USA. The BreezoMeter app was approved by Apple in 40 minutes! Surely that’s a world record. So head over to the App Store and check out this must have app.
