When we used to mention online/digital dating 5 years ago, it would have brought stares. Today, well, it is a totally different ball-game. Here are 4 facts on the digital dating scene (via Pew Research Center).
1. Online dating has lost much of its stigma. A majority of Americans now say online dating is a good way to meet people, when that hasn’t always been the case.
2. One-in-five adults ages 25-34 years old have used online dating, but it’s also popular with older singles, too.
3. One-third of people who have used online dating have never actually gone on a date with someone they met on these sites.
4. Among the currently “single and looking”, 38% have used online dating.

The SpotHot app is a different dating/hook-up app in that instead of displaying potential matches that are a certain distance from you, or based on who you’re friends with, SpotHot shows you people in your immediate surroundings. Once you match, flirting and connecting is fun (and interactive) with live PhotoChatting and Drawing.
There are those that will say, and correctly, that they already know what are the best nightlife spots on different nights, however whether or not you’re in the group of those that know where to go or not, with SpotHot you are able to more freely begin your flirting while inside. Why try on one piece of clothing, when you can try on two pieces at the same time?
And just so you know, all data is deleted at sunrise – this is not your tinder or bumble, or any other swipe left/right dating app. This is for those that want actual results.
Spothot ran a “Risk a Kiss” experiment in which a beautiful girl sent flirting photos, including a napkin written with lipstick to unsuspecting guys sitting at the same bar. Did the guys reach out to her? You would think they would have ran over, but there was one catch…
